Choose Wall or Island
Wall-mounted hoods install against the cooking wall and work between cabinets, beneath a surround, or as a freestanding focal point above a backsplash. Island hoods suspend from the ceiling and are finished on every visible side, making symmetry, sightlines, and ceiling attachment especially important. Select the mounting type before production because each version requires different construction.
Plan Size and Structure
Confirm appliance width, hood width, ceiling height, total hood height, depth, mounting clearance, duct position, and surrounding cabinetry before ordering. Wall hoods may route ductwork through the wall or ceiling. Island hoods need a centered ceiling duct, electrical supply, finished sides, and secure attachment to joists or reinforced framing.
Ventilation Preparation
Select the optional 200 CFM insert or request preparation for an approved buyer-supplied internal insert or liner up to 1,260 CFM. External blower systems up to 1,500 CFM can also be accommodated when complete specifications are provided before production.
