Our decorative ceramic tiles hand-painted in our workshop in San Miguel de Allende are often used for Southern-style designing. If you have ever been to this stunning Colonial city in Mexico, you had probably noticed that a tile is an omnipresent decorative element everywhere: the fountains, churches, homes' entryways. This rich Mexican tradition is our main inspiration to create the most refined and creative designs that are done by local artisans who continue the centuries-long technique of Talavera ceramics. Mexican ceramic tiles are colorful with contrasting tones. Being that way, the decorative ceramic tiles enable you to set up unique, enhancing layouts that will add a rustic flair to any room or space in your household, from kitchen and bathrooms which are the most obvious choice to dining rooms or hall and outdoor patio patio, veranda and gardens.

The rustic feel of Talavera tile comes not only from the patterns we create but also from the painting technique as well as the fact they are cut by hand. Once decorative ceramic tiles are installed on the kitchen or bathroom wall they create antique atmosphere. It is important to have the tiles laid with a quarter of an inch space to compensate for their uneven shape and dimensions. You can use either light grout to mask too some degree their variations or expose ceramic tiles vintage look more by filling up with contrasting cement. The interior designers use decorative ceramic tiles as a mosaic of mixed patterns or plain color only. You can use them as the main theme or just as the decorative Mexican accent to other appliances or decorations element. They give infinite creativity of where you can use them inside of your kitchen area, on the walls, floors or as a kitchen backsplash. It will not be an easy task to choose among all of our designs.
