Mexican talavera tile dimensions are approximate therefore while installing them on the wall leaving 1/4 spaces between each tile is recommended. Hand made talavera tiles are water resistant therefore beside kitchen backslash walls and counter-tops are often used for bathroom and shower walls and low traffic floor areas.
