These two mexican punched tin cone lamp shades with geometric motifs combine hojalata craft and patterned light. A truncated cone hides the bulb at normal sightlines while a small top aperture vents heat. Chevron flights, dot–diamond bands, and cross-floral rosettes create layered sparkle. A smoke-bronze/antique pewter satin patina warms the glow. Rolled, hemmed rims keep edges clean and rigid for daily use.
Material and Craft
Hand-punched tin/steel sheet (hojalata) is cut, formed, and soldered inside. Edges are rolled/hemmed for rigidity and safe handling. A brushed satin smoke-bronze/pewter patina mutes glare and reveals handwork. One burnished back seam sits flush, preserving the clean profile.
