Product Description
This mexican eclipse tin sun and moon lamp shade merges two celestial faces in one circular form. Half sun, half moon, it balances pointed rays with a smooth crescent. Symmetrical punchwork glows when lit, expressing duality and harmony. A dark rustic patina adds depth, warmth, and folk character. At 24 inches in diameter, it reads bold on any wall.
Material and Craftsmanship
Hand-punched hojalata (tin/steel) is cut, formed, and soldered inside. Edges of rays and crescent show fine hammering and stamping. The surface receives a dark, smoke-brown patina, hand-rubbed to enhance texture and sealed for durability.
Lighting Effect
Rear illumination turns cutouts into warm golden points. Hearts and teardrops on the sun side sparkle; crescent piercings glow softly. The light highlights brows, lashes, and smiling lips, giving the face personality and warmth.
