Mexican terra cotta ceramic tile dimensions are approximate therefore while installing mosaic tiles on the wall leaving 1/4 spaces between each talavera tile is recommended. Mexican high relief tiles are water resistant therefore beside kitchen backslash walls and counter-tops they are often used for bathroom shower walls, stair risers and low traffic floor tile areas.
